About Me
Growing up surrounded by family challenges related to mental health and substance abuse, I've grappled with feelings of inadequacy, anger, and resentment from a young age. Instead of being defined by these experiences, I used them to develop a keen eye for the finer details of life—an essential skill when navigating uncertainty. After reading Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning, I found purpose for my pain, which helped me realize that even in the direst circumstances, we can find meaning and direction in our lives.
During my adolescence, mentors taught me to focus on my potential rather than my circumstances. As a young adult, my struggles with fear and anxiety led to patterns of control and a pursuit of perfection, feelings that often left me feeling inadequate. My passion for sports took me to Springfield College, where I embraced the motto "Spirit, Mind, and Body," setting me on a path of disciplined self-discovery.
A pivotal moment came in 2019, when a serious medical condition and subsequent major surgery forced me to reevaluate my priorities and embrace self-care and the art of letting go. This experience deepened my commitment to personal wellness and maintaining balance in my life.
Now, with sharpened skills in observation and reflection, I've developed effective strategies and techniques that have helped countless clients navigate life's challenges. I believe in the transformative power each person has to change their circumstances.
Today, I consider my life profoundly blessed. I have a wonderful family—my wife Heidi and our two children, Sophia and Vance. I cherish every moment with them, and they inspire me to help others discover their purpose and values. My commitment to my family and community is paramount. In my spare time, I am constantly curious; I enjoy fitness, learning about science and wellness, and love improving things, whether it's working on my property or cleaning up the community.
